In the 23 years IHP has been open, we have noticed that our clients come in for one of three reasons. The number one reason is everybody wants to look better naked. This can mean they want to change their body’s appearance by either reducing fat, toning existing muscle, or gaining significant muscle mass. The second most popular reason is they want to improve their health. Many clients come in after receiving concerning news on a recent blood panel, such as high blood sugar, high blood lipids, unbalanced hormones, or any other issue they want to address from a health perspective. The third reason clients come to IHP is to improve their performance, such as enhancing performance in a sport or hobby they participate in. Florida’s weather permits year-round participation in all popular sports, such as golf, tennis, Pickleball, soccer, and many other outdoor activities.
10 pounds will fix almost anything:
Losing 10 pounds will make a huge difference. Everybody knows the United States has an obesity problem. Therefore, the number one reason people come into any gym across the country is to lose weight. If everybody in the United States would drop 10 pounds, chronic diseases would become a rarity, or at the very least be reduced by 50%. Of course, no matter how big or small you are, dropping 10 pounds makes a huge difference in how you feel and how you look. That is one of the reasons why our 10 pounds in four weeks program, known as the “10 in 4”, is so popular.
What is different about IHP’s 10 in 4:
Our 10 in 4 program is different from other nutritional programs. It addresses food like every other drug or chemical, recognizing that food consumption can become an addiction for many reasons. Our program also understands the importance of fluid retention and treats it as what it is—an inflammatory response to certain foods. Understanding that no one diet is easy to maintain for an entire lifetime, we teach people how to use various approaches, such as intermittent fasting, low carb, high protein, and even high carb diets, to be able to respond in real-time to life events. Our program also teaches people how to look their best for an event, such as a wedding or photo shoot. We teach some of the same techniques that fighters use to make weight, sometimes losing over 20 pounds in 48 hours. Although we don’t teach or advocate for that extreme application for a normal fitness client, the techniques used by our fighters to get rid of unnecessary fluid from their body could result in a loss of 4 to 7 pounds for the average person.

JC Santana has authored 18 books on performance and training methods, and IHP brings that knowledge to bear in all of our programming. All of our programs provide enough resistance and variety to tone any muscle group.
